In our Archive collection, we recreate DM’s designs from over the years ¡ª replicated, seam by seam, down to the last yellow welt stitch. The understated Smiths shoe is a refined 4-eye rework of our classic 1461 shoe ¡ª discovered decades ago in our archive. This updated version is built using durable Repello Calf suede from Leeds tannery C. F. Stead and fitted with tonal laces and antique gold eyelets. Finished with signature yellow welt stitching and set on a retro edition of our classic DMS sole.

- A pillar of DM’s construction. Our Original and most recognizable sole. A height of 1 1/8 inch ¡ª marked by traditional DMS tread pattern that’s unique to Dr. Martens. One of our most flexible soles, well known for its comfort and stability
- Construction – Made with our Goodyear-welted lines that are heat-sealed at 700?C and reinforced with our signature welt stitch
- Footbed – Slimmer and a more tapered shape
